Salt Lake Community College’s Lifetime Activities Center Upgrades to S350 LED Light Fixtures, Energizes Fan Experience

The Lifetime Activities Center is home for the Salt Lake Community College Bruins. The “LAC” was dedicated in January 1996 by then-President Dr. Frank Budd. This building was built not only to give the Bruins a new home, but also to give the students at SLCC a state-of-the-art activity facility. Special features of the LAC include a 5,000-seat special events arena, multiple class and meeting rooms, large multi-purpose playing area, six glass wall racquetball courts, dance studio, full-service free weight room and cardiovascular fitness center. The arena hosts the Bruins’ basketball team as well as the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake City Stars. To meet the lighting needs of this high-tech, multi-purpose arena, SLCC turned to Sportsbeams.

• SLCC chooses S350 Chromabeams with full RGB/tunable white light capabilities. The LAC now arena now has millions of vibrant LED lighting color options not offered anywhere else on the market.

• Whether it’s the Salt Lake City Stars, the SLCC Bruins, or the annual HS Girls’ basketball championship, the teams that take the court can be seen in broadcast-level lighting. With an Emmy® award to prove it, our founders are experts in broadcast lighting. They’ve put their years of expertise into our stadium lights, so every uniform looks as good on TV as it does live.

• Intuitive designed to allow unlimited control. Each S350 fixture is equipped with serious intelligence. It tracks lighting hours, fan speed, heat, output and more. Armed with its own MAC address, each light can be controlled individually or together.
