Brigham Young University Illuminates Intramural Fields Complex Using Sportsbeams LED Lighting and Control System to Provide Students with Professional Level Athletic Experience
Brigham Young University’s Intramural Program has tradition that dates back to the early 1900’s and is one of the largest programs in the country with over 10,000 participants each year. The Intramural Program includes over 50 activities annually, with a multi-use intramural sports complex that can be configured into a varying number of different sports fields including football, soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, and many others.
• BYU Intramural sports complex was in need of serious lighting renovations. With light poles falling down and lighting levels so low that were providing a dangerous experience for their students, BYU turned to Sportsbeams
• To maintain their rich tradition in intramural athletics, BYU required state-of-the-art lighting fixtures and poles. 258 of our S800, S600, and S800 Chromabeams fixtures paired with Ambor poles were the perfect solution for their complex.
• Students participating in intramural athletics will experience gameplay lighting like never before. Intelligently designed to create the perfect on-field experience, our Chromabeams fixtures provided BYU with a customized system that is capable of adapting to BYU’s ever-changing field configuration.
