FOR THE INSTALLER
Sportsbeams knows that, even though our products are very competitively priced, it won’t make a difference to contractors if our installation isn’t as easy as possible. We are continuously making improvements to our installation process to ensure that contractors can have the most trouble-free installation possible.

OTHER QUESTIONS ANSWERED
GENERAL
What is your standard amount of time it takes poles and fixtures to arrive on site?
Our standard lead time on poles is 10 weeks. We stock several standard fixtures that can be on site in as little as a week. More specialized fixtures can take 12 to 16 weeks.
What kind of control systems do you offer?
Everything from simple on/off to the most advanced wired or wireless controls.
POLES
Do your poles come pre-wired?
No. While we include whips and harnesses with quick connects, the poles are not pre-wired.
Do your poles have a concrete base or a steel base?
We can provide either, depending on our contractor’s or the owner’s requirements. If a concrete base is needed, we we will provide a complete foundation drawing that is stamped by a local PE after receipt of P.O. For steel pole foundations, they will be delivered the same time as the rest of the pole.
Can your bases be shipped first so they arrive sooner?
For concrete base poles, we will provide a PE-stamped base drawing as soon as possible. We will also order anchor bolts, which will typically arrive in 4 weeks. Steel bases must be shipped at the same time as the rest of the pole.
LIGHTING FIXTURES
Do your fixtures come pre-aimed?
No, but for each job we send out a simple aiming diagram that gives coordinates for each fixture. Once the fixture is mounted it takes seconds to aim and lock into place.
Can your fixtures mount to existing cross arms or mounts?
Yes, as a company we offer a variety of different ways the fixture can be mounted. Most cases the fixture can mount using existing holes but when it can’t we have an adapter plates that can be used.
ELECTRICAL
Do you have a wiring harness?
Each of our fixtures comes with a 100ft whip that can be used to run thru the cross arms and down the pole to the distribution box.
What voltage is needed for your fixtures?
Each of our fixtures use 208V – 277V. We also offer a 347V – 480V solution but special planning needs to be taken into consideration.
